Day of Renewal
Hurricane Florence who visited our area in 2018 and left southeastern North Carolina devastated. Many people, for whom we continue to pray, are still struggling to recover. For Sunset Park Baptist Church we also have had our struggles. We were displaced by wind damage outside and water damage inside. We are grateful to our Lord Jesus that we have just moved past the restoration period and have moved into a period of reclaiming the buildings which we moved out of after the hurricane. It has been a long process but we are finding closure to this time in the life of the church.
We are planning a Re-Dedication Day on Sunday morning March 29 when we will rededicate our buildings to God for the furtherance of His Kingdom. This special day will include a dedication message and prayer, the serving of the Lord’s Supper, special music and blessed fellowship. We are inviting city, county, and neighborhood officials to join us as we celebrate and worship God with grateful hearts. Our invitation is extended to you and your family also to come and join us on March 29. The day will begin with Bible Study at 9:45 a.m., and the rededication service at 11:00 a.m. Following the service, we will be able to walk through our restored building as we make our way to the Fellowship Hall to enjoy lunch together.
If you and your family will be attending, please RSVP our church office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 910-762-4486. You are welcome to come without a RSVP but it would help us know who and how many are coming so we can adequately prepare for this day of grateful celebration. Thank you and we look forward to worshiping our awesome God together as we renew ourselves to His high calling upon our lives.
