United in the Spirit, United in Prayer

We have been so distracted this year by the pandemic and by politics that it has been very easy to forget to pray.  The pandemic may be out of our control, but not Yahweh's.  Politics may be important in this election year, but it will all fit into Yahweh's plans.  Born-again believers need to rise up and be women and men of prayer.  We need to faithfully seek Yahweh's will not ours.  His will is filled with security and hope.  In His will we find our help in ages past is faithfully our help today.  It is just Tuesday and we have been invited by several individuals and ministries to join them in praying and fasting for America at this time of political and social need.  In our services Jesus has been challenging us to become 'mighty disciples of valor'.  He has called us to, by faith, stand and become Spiritual Heros boldly facing our adversaries in the power of the Holy Spirit.  The call has gone out to be united in prayer and fasting for the elections, this Sunday October 25.  Consider your individual fast.  It can be from food, electronics, sports, movies, naps, etc.  Fasting is just giving up something of this world to focus and concentrate on spiritual things through communing with the Holy Spirit.  In our service and prayer meeting this Sunday we will unite in the Spirit and call upon Yahweh.  Join us as a 'mighty disciple of valor.'

"God's mighty men and women lay aside the distractions of life to do exploits in the spiritual realm....If we are courageous enough to go on the spiritual attack, to be mighty men and women of prayer and faith, there is no limit to what God can accomplish through us."  Jim Cymbala

"And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the Lord, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah.  So Judah gathered together to ask help from the Lord; and from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord." 2 Chronicles 20:3-4
